We are at a point in history where everything in our lives is because of science, if we don't agree with it, (it's just not so), fact be dammed. I may have sounded a little hard edged this week, it's because this subject must change for us to grow and survive as a nation, as humans.
While others look at the drop out rate of high schoolers, low test scores, private verses public schools, what I see as the truly greatest education problem in the USA.
It is the willful ignorance of the top 1% and many in the top 20% of our economic system. Just think they own maybe 75% of the wealth in the nation yet in many areas they are totally ignorant, as demonstrated lately by some, they live socially in the 1950s, worst of all they have so much wealth and power they don't have to learn, they live in their little bubbles yet control vast swaths of the economy and wealth of the nation. (Now this is a serious problem to me).
The kids well they will learn from life, because they have to, still have open minds.
Once again state and national laws are not deal in reality, it's also true on other major issues.
I always end the week with a funny, understanding we should never take ourselves to seriously. This week the funny is really not so funny unless you get that the joke is truly on us.
Over a 35 year period we have allowed ourself to become more and more an Uncontrolled capitalist nation where the buck ($) is the main objective in all. The problem is our tax system, budgets and are wages show are priorities. So in a way, well the joke is on us for the choses we have made. Generally a person in sales of anything, financial services they make good money, while teachers in general make crap wages, as do those that do the daily tasks for all of us !

Our budgets shows are values in our personal and national life !
Not sure the bottom of this picture but found it very interesting that a bird could learn such complicated words and thoughts and relate it to events.
Again these are laws not up to todays reality, and we wonder why we have problems, not for a lack of knowledge, but slaves to beliefs and ideology.

It may be that the lack of thinking, to truly contemplate fact and events around us, to think out a few weeks, months, years on certain facts using what we do know may be our biggest education problem, not the teachers but each of us, and then do something !
In business school and other fields of education do they encourage any sustainable aspect to the market and what effect it will have on people and society. I fear often we look only for a direct result for profit only, sorry but thats what I see so often. The answer can be found by thinking deep using the higher thought that humans has in them.
Facts concerning our education system that don't reflex the reality and challenges of today.

I believe this with all my heart, the beginning of education is an open mind.
In todays world it is easy to see the truth behind this, education in one field without an open mind can be as bad as no education with no lives experiences.
This is simply not confronting reality, will provide no change or awareness of modern problems.

Its veteran's day I know, all vets do, the battle today is very different, today to save our country we must lead by understanding the times we live in and the point in history we are at. A vet may well be the one that can make a real difference because they have known unselfish service to county.
Vets that have served oversea's understand this the most, a mothers with no education can't raise well rounded children to live well in the 21 century, also at home, girls become women and they are the most important person any child will ever know very often.
Is their any sense for these laws in the 21 century here in the USA really ?

I understand as time passes I have change yet again as I learn more, having been on this quest to write about my life, sometimes with sadness and a laugh. This Friday just a mix of thoughts. I can announce that My Dear wife is home from her work in Vietnam for 5 weeks, I'm a lucky and happy guy.
This is not so much about your wealth or well being as it is your mind, what you think as you mature.
How and why some people have curiosity is still not clear to me, just that it is one of the keys that makes people so different. I can only admit I've never know a day of boredom and fully expect to leave this world without having that. Yes, I'm sure at times my life looks a little bit crazy to many at times because of that, but thats OK.
A fitting funny for the week, I didn't see the movie but heard decried by others. Everyone knows Godzilla is real, big and bad !

Today a Truthful leader seem so hard to find, between money, people getting their support from 30 second sound bites, the raise of spin, a truthful leader that expressed the truth and reality often has little chance to reach a positions of power. Event my up-coming book about my life may well be rejected or pushed back on because to tell the truth is my first goal.
Knowledge and Truth stand together, not as opposites, I believe as a people it is sunshine by way of frank open talk, the free press is one of our best hopes for the future at the same time large corporations own the news outlets. But the information is out their and we can find it. The people also have to want to know the truth concerning their government, not what bonds up their feelings.

In each of us is a sense of right and wrong, when heard a truth or a lie our known unless we want to hear an easier lie. But in our hearts often we know the truth by how it feels, this I have found quit true, we are best to deal in facts, use more thought, less emotions.

I will admit outright that people have followed lie's that with any long term thought applied would have been rejected. Today with knowledge, the information age, our understanding of meths not standing up to science means also that truth will be more and that will be a good thing.
Of course we our effected most by personal lie's, the truth like all things in any culture is each persons truthfulness. In our personal lives dealing only in the truth saves so much grief, time, and often money. Yes, it can also cost short term loss, believe me on this one but living by truthfulness has rewards inside that last forever.

In human relationships we have found certain things in our evolution that have stood out, one of them is the truth. In all relationships, regardless if personal, in earning our living, in all type of governments the truth has great rewards, is respected by all.
The truth is said to make you free, truth is based on facts only. Telling the truth always can become a habit as easy as telling a lie. The truth in the end most always shows it's self !

Of course I watch the news like you, everyday you see so much that just seems and is wrong, be discouraged or fight for whats right, this explains it and it is up to each person to make a stand and difference. It is who are you !
I've suffered loss, I saw things that have broken my heart and I have cried !
Think about it, when you hate you gain nothing but a sense or feeling that your OK, somebody making a stand, not afraid, but it is never anything but a selfish feeling of the most basic in-stink, meaning basically your afraid of the fact the world and we as humans have evolved on all levels.

At some point man-kind's knowledge started to multiplied, today it's not only true but technology and science has made that knowledge available to all. Change never stops, dose our emotional condition have the ability to keep up ? This understanding is at the root of my work and effort ?
We have chosen a system of economics that brings out are oldest human in-stinks, survival, greed and personal ownership, today we are move backward on human relationships and community at a point when we desperately need to work together.
Sounds so simple to an rational, excepting and open minded person, but reason and logic are fearful thinks to many, the sad point is that this fear is all in our minds, the one thing each person can control. What we think about dose effect who we are, we become our thoughts.

Personally, I believe that all the men that created these religions were simply Humanist, attempting to better the conditions for there people with the knowledge of their day. To forward the higher side of mans own human nature as we evolved on all levels.
Gandhi, the leader of peaceful resistance, freeing his county India from colonialism. A spiritual man of great wisdom, these thought are applicable to and in all beliefs systems as good.

Their is a difference between not care about others heartfelt concern and knowing in your heart that you don't need anyones approval to be yourself.
Sometimes these two feelings and emotion can compete for your action, understanding this and living in the presents.
